Die Stadt Lambsheim hatte lange Zeit eine Ordnungsfunktion für die Dörfer in der Umgebung, was sich in der 1479 erneuerten Bachordnung für die Mühlen an der Isenach, aber auch in der Verteidigung der Waldrechte im Pfälzer Wald durch „Lambsheim und Konsorten“ zeigt. Der Autor Dr. Georg Gärtner ist gebürtiger Lambsheimer. Nach seiner Pensionierung als Wissenschaftler im Philips Forschungslabor Aachen beschäftigte er sich u. a. mit seiner Familiengeschichte, die stark mit Lambsheim verbunden ist, woraus dann auch die
